Erikka Watts is the founder and owner of Merit Resources, a bookkeeping and payroll firm committed to helping small businesses gain financial clarity, make confident decisions, and build long-term stability. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from California State University, Dominguez Hills. With more than a decade of experience supporting businesses across a variety of industries, Erikka provides practical financial solutions, reliable guidance, and personalized service that help business owners make confident decisions and focus on growth.
Before earning her degree, Erikka gained valuable hands-on experience working alongside three independent accounting professionals. This early mentorship helped build a strong foundation in accounting and fueled her passion for serving small businesses. Working with clients across a variety of industries broadened her expertise and shaped the practical, client-focused approach she brings to Merit Resources today in Temecula, California.
A THRIVING CAREER
After founding Merit Resources in 2014, Erikka focused on building the firm's reputation while also serving as Controller for a successful local winery. Balancing both roles for several years, she ultimately chose to dedicate her expertise full-time to growing Merit Resources. Since then, she has established deep roots in the community, built a family, and continued expanding her professional knowledge through advanced certifications to better serve her clients' evolving needs.
